Since coming to Galesburg, Pegasus has striven to support local educational institutions and promote advanced manufacturing careers.
Today another cohort graduated from the Galesburg Area Vocational Center (GAVC) and Pegasus was there to celebrate along with them.
Ethan Tucker, senior at Abingdon-Avon High School, is just the latest GAVC graduate to begin the path from Pegasus intern to full-time employee.
Tucker is going to attend Carl Sandburg College, but at the same time he’ll be maintaining an internship at Pegasus Manufacturing, a company he’s been working alongside for almost two years.
“As (Tucker) attended the CNC classes, we appreciated his tenacity, drive and education,” Pegasus co-owner Ray Whitehead told The Register-Mail. “He has a career ranging from $40,000 to $100,000 in his future, so we’re proud to have a young man like this.”
